I work at the intersection of clinical research infrastructure and software engineering — designing, deploying, and debugging the systems that let hospitals and researchers work with sensitive clinical data safely. Currently that means containerized infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and Java/Spring Boot services for the DZHK Feasibility Explorer at Universitätsmedizin Göttingen.
My path started in Biomedical Engineering (B.Sc.) and continued into Medical Informatics (M.Sc.), both at Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen — with additional training in Big Data Engineering along the way. Before Göttingen, I built medical device software at BAYOOMED, and analyzed and optimized FHIR-to-OMOP ETL pipelines as a research associate at TU Dresden.
At BAYOOMED I worked on health apps built around regulatory requirements for medical devices — a DiGA blood-pressure app with Bluetooth hardware and gamification, and an app for controlling modern prostheses. I'm comfortable across the compliance side too: ISO 13485, ISO 27001, ISO 14971, IEC 62304.
Libyan, with Arabic as my native language and fluent German and English — plus basic Spanish. I move between languages depending on who I'm talking to.
